The Department welcomes Dr. Mehdi Mirzaee as a new Faculty member. Mehdi comes to VIU from the Islamic Asad University (Tehran) where he was an assistant professor in the Civil engineering department . He has designed hydraulic structures and studied water resources and hydrology as a consulting engineer.

Ray Penner receives the VIU President's Award for Community Outreach
The Department welcomes Xueling Luo as a new Faculty member. Xueling comes to VIU from Centennial College, where she was a Professor of Robotics and Automation.
