- VIU Engineering students compete in a soapbox derby on the Nanaimo campus
- The Department welcomes Dr. Mehdi Mirzaee as a new Faculty member. Mehdi comes to VIU from the Islamic Asad University (Tehran) where he was an assistant professor in the Civil engineering department . He has designed hydraulic structures and studied water resources and hydrology as a consulting engineer.
