Chad Dalke - Attended RMOT 1993-1995

Chad Dalke

"After graduating RMOT with my Diploma, I worked for a forestry consulting company, briefly joining BC Ministry of Forests in 1996, before starting my own forestry consulting company with a partner. In the fall of 1997, I was offered a position with a consulting Land company as a Land Agent for oil/gas exploration.

After a brief stint with Duke Energy in Hope BC, I joined Burlington Resources (now ConocoPhillips Canada) in 2002 as the Surface Land Field Coordinator in Grande Prairie, Alberta. I switched departments in 2006 to the Well Construction and Reclamation Division as the Construction Advisor for British Columbia.   Although not the sole focus of my job, a large part is dedicated to keeping our consultants and contractors compliant in the field in regards to legislation, permit conditions, and best management practices. I get involved in the planning stages for new projects in order to review for fisheries and wildlife timing issues, timber salvage and utilization, and general landscape related concerns. I also sit on a few (and have chaired) committees and groups that have dealt with a variety of issues from conflicting tenures, red tape reduction, to results based legislation.

I also own and operate a trapline in North Eastern BC and currently sit as a Director on the Dawson Creek Trappers Association."
